Create an updated product design system for all Orion software, to achieve a cohesive experience across all Orion products.
Notable projects within the design system
Dark mode
After the completion of our new design system, I translated all 56 components into dark mode counterparts.
Creating components and guidelines
Through researching other design systems and our system needs, I created some of the components we use within Figma, along with helping to write many of the other component’s guidelines and usage.
Toasts
An unobstructive and brief message in the user's lower right corner. Messages will appear then disappear and inform the user of something that occurred that may need their attention.
Alerts
Important information that will be appear at the top of the user's screen. Information is relevant to what the user is currently doing within the application.
Accordions
An element that can be expanded or collapsed, showing related content within a parent container.
Consolidating icons
Through researching common use cases of icons and reviewing other design systems, I consolidated our icons from 400+ to 136 core icons within 13 different categories
